After beating T1 on Sunday, Gen.G should be on cruise control until LCK 2024 Summer Week 4, when they face off against fellow contenders Dplus KIA. KT Rolster, while a competent team, shouldn’t pose any issues for the defending champions.
Gen.G are arguably the strongest LoL esports team in the world, as shown by their titles from the LCK 2024 Spring regular season and playoffs and Mid-Season Invitational 2024. While T1 made them work for it, Gen.G looked excellent in the first week of the split.
KT Rolster had a rough start to the split with defeats against Kwangdong Freecs and Dplus KIA. Considering KT Rolster’s questionable macro and their volatility, those results should surprise no one.
Gen.G are everything KT Rolster are not: very stable with strong players and excellent macro. This should show on Thursday.

FearX won their opening match of LCK 2024 Summer against Nongshim RedForce and, unsurprisingly, had to admit defeat to Gen.G last Friday. Two games aren’t enough to make any conclusions, but FearX have a pulse and are very good at dragging opponents into a scrappy affair, which is where they shine.
DRX picked up one victory last week against OKSavingsBank BRION and even took a bite out of Hanwha Life Esports. Yet beating BRION isn’t too impressive, nor is punishing Hanwha for their passive, counter-punching style of play.
These two teams won’t be competing for the LCK trophy this split, but FearX have a higher ceiling. Their performance figures weren’t terrible last split, and if FearX can find more stability, they should outperform DRX this split.
